Today JDA announced new labor management capabilities in both their JDA Warehouse Management and JDA Warehouse Labor Management software. The new features in JDA Warehouse Management help you give users control over their work day, while keeping them on track, by managing their task assignments by their role and task priority. Such capability smooths out the bumps that arise when priority orders come in, regulations prompt immediate changes to stock, freight issues change your shipping schedule, or many other challenges arise that I’m sure you’re familiar with.
Communications to and from the warehouse or distribution center have also been improved, as managers and executives can now view statuses and performance from a handy application. Specifically, the new capabilities include:
- Control Towers: Designed for each employee by their role, so that users can handle the most pressing issues in real time while keeping an eye on their day-to-day tasks
- Smart Configurator: An engine that defines the most efficient workflows for accomplishing all tasks.
- Improved Mobile Response: Managers can respond to business demands both inside and outside the facility from their mobile devices.
- Executive Visibility: JDA WMS now links to JDA Supply Chain Executive, a mobile app which provides executives with a view of key business metrics in real time, including workforce performance.
