Setting Up Your RedPrairie Servers

The number of servers needed for a RedPrairie project varies depending on your transaction volume and aversion to risk. You can have fewer servers for a test environment, but a production environment should have a separate database and a separate application server. Depending on the transaction volume, you may also want a separate reports server, and then you may want to have a separate server for each module.

So a WMS environment requires:

• An application server for production
• One or two test servers (depending on if you want separate servers for development and testing)
• An access database server
• Additional servers as needed for other modules
